Carrie Underwood- Before He Cheats

The song I chose to relate to Othello was the song, Before He Cheats by Carrie Underwood.  It is a song about how she is going to get revenge on the man who cheated on her.  She destroys his car in order to teach him a lesson.  She also says somewhere in the song that he will think again before he cheats on anyone.  This song reminded me of how Othello acted when he thought Desdemona had cheated on him.  He wanted revenge, and he wanted her to feel the amount of pain he did.  Because of this, he killed her.  He also killed her because he did not want her to hurt any other men by cheating on them.  I feel that this song really relates to the thoughts that were most likely going through Othello's mind.
