Dialogue/ Diction/ Act 1

Roderigo: "Thou told'st me thou didst hold him in thy hate."  This is an example of the dialogue Shakespeare uses in his writing.  This dialogue can be very hard to understand.  However, if one really focuses they can understand it.  This dialogue is important in this story because it helps to explain the time period it was written, and how the people of that time spoke.  For me, this language is very difficult to understand.  Act 1 is an important introduction to "Othello."  Many characters are introduced such as: Iago, Othello, Roderigo, Brabantino, and Desdemona.  There are many tensions between many people throughout the story, but this makes the story more entertaining and interesting.  There is much drama within this story, and I am excited to continue reading it!
